The Gift of Smile campaign was created with the co-operation of McDonald’s Malaysia, Pantai Hospitals Sdn. Bhd., and ING Insurance Berhad. Since 2003 and in conjunction with the McDonald’s World Children’s Day, the objective is to enable Malaysian cleft lip and palate children from low-income families to undergo fully-sponsored corrective surgery to help them lead normal lives.
Peter Runs For Charity is an initiative by Peter Koopmans who was moved to establish such a fundraising activity to enable more Malaysian children to embrace their future with confident smiles. And the Ronald McDonald Children's Charity (RMCC) is proud to be selected as the sole benefactor of the initiative.
It is hoped that the Peter Runs for Charity initiative will be able to raise more funds for the Gift of Smile campaign, to enable more Malaysian children to have the Gift of Smile.
